Doosan's forklift history
Korea’s initial domestic lift truck marketplace was an open-import enterprise. In the 1960’s, Korea Machinery Co. Ltd. begun to import assembled forklifts as part of a national machinery expansion venture. Early sales of this manufacturing equipment focused on large business groups, the armed services and on state-run corporations. This eventually led to a merger with Daewoo Heavy Industries Ltd. In 1976, the Forklift Division begun trade operations throughout Korea to overhaul and sell this heavy equipment. By 1978, a forklift production plant was successfully completed. Continuous technical training grew to become the new focus for enhancing quality and product development.
Propane forklift effectiveness is pretty impressive in view of the fact that the cylinders containing propane can simply be replaced and the machinery can get back to work without losing much "downtime". It is not like the electric lift truck where spare batteries have to be bought to be used while the original battery could take up to 8 hours of cooling time plus 8 hours of charging time depending on the unit.
Safety
As the propane forklift has a sealed fuel system, it is much safer to operate than the different kinds of lift trucks obtainable. The propane fuel cylinders themselves adhere to strict national code specialization and are sealed to guarantee optimum safety. Propane gas also operates with less energy than CNG gas, hence, if any accident happens, there is a system where the fuel is turned off. This significantly lowers the potential risk and destruction that could take place. Refilling options are likewise beneficial for the operator. If they will rather refuel elsewhere, the cylinders can be transported to a refilling centre. If the business prefers, the refilling could be done on site instead.
